Sub Camp for Wings 2014

We are delighted to announce that we have been assigned the Archaeology Sub Camp for our summer camp this Summer.We will be traveling to a Jamboree called WINGS in Windsor London. We look forward to meeting Renira (sub camp chief) and all her team in August.

Bishopstown Scout Heads to Iceland!!

Best of Luck to Bishopstown Scout Diarmuid Dunne who departed on the trip of a lifetime to Iceland today on the Tom Crean challenge. The trip which will include meeting up with Icelandic Scouts and is the hardest expedition that a Scout in the Scout Section can undertake. The challenge will involve hiking over the frozen landscape of Iceland and incudes a set of challenges. Diarmuid is one of only 23 Scouts who have been chosen from Ireland to partake in this Challenge. We hope all his hard work and preparation over the last year is worth it!!

Bishopstown Cubs win the County Quiz

6 Bishopstown Cubs won the county quiz held in Ballincollig on Sunday the 12th of January. Winning by one point it was a close call to the end! Thanks to June and John for the work in preparing the winning team. The cubs now move onto the nationals which will take place later in the year.

Summer Camp 2014

Bishopstown Scouts and Ventures will be travling togther to our annual Summer Camp. This year we are going to WINGS 2014 which is a Jamboree in Windsor Castle London were 10,000 young people will come toghter for a week. The dates are the 1-10 of August 2014. The activities will be wide ranging from areas like water, to air skills , to camping and enviormental.
